Juxtaposition

I was driving through Missouri on a February morning to catch a flight out of Branson, MO. I never spent much time in the southern part of the state before I joined the railroad, but I after spending so much time there over the past year I realized its one of the Midwest's best kept secrets. I saw a stack train as I drove over one of the many rolling hills in the region. The train was majestically parked dominating the field around it. I couldn't help but think to myself how beautiful this train was with all its power and might, not to mention the all of the cargo it carried to people across our country. Thats when the buggy appeared. There was something that hit me about the juxtaposition of the the horse and buggy and the power of the train. It was how far we have come in transporting ourselves and our good over the past 150 years all in one snapshot. I was running late to the airport and kicked myself for not getting the shot. Fortunately for me I was able to get the shot a couple days later when the scene unfolded again.
